Fundraising fun with masks

Pink Winged Fiesta MaskIt’s that time of year again when, if you’re like me with your new year’s resolutions still ringing in your ears, you’ll find yourself keenly signing up for all kinds of races and runs due to take place in the summer. Always optimistic that by then we will be several months in to our exercise regime, lithe and ready to sprint into action when the time comes.

Whether or not the exercise regime goes to plan, one fantastic side effect of signing up for these events is that many of them will allow you to raise money for a good cause. One great example is the fantastic programme of events put together each year to raise money for breast cancer charities. Whatever your level of fitness, there are loads of runs, walks and other fun challenges to take part in whilst fundraising for this amazing cause.

If you’ve never taken part in one of these events before, don’t worry about having to keep up with ultra fit athletes. The atmosphere is one of supportive camaraderie rather than competition. If you can get a group of friends together to take part then all the better. You can also up the fun quotient by getting together and devising a fancy dress theme to help you all stick together in the crowd. Pink is definitely the theme colour for these events, and bear in mind that you probably don’t want to pick anything too heavy to wear if you’re planning on running for any distance. A lot of people plump for something simple like a Mask, wings and some leg warmers. All pink of course!

We’ve got a great choice of pink masks here at Mask Heaven so we’re bound to have something suitable for your squad. Remember you probably don’t want anything too bulky (wind resistance!) and you’ll definitely be better with an elasticated mask rather than one on a stick. Something like this Pink Winged Fiesta Mask would be perfect.

So go on girls – get out there this summer and show them how it’s done!
